Main Duties of the Job About the Practice
  • Well-established practice with a stable list size of 9,000 patients
  • Using SystmOne clinical system
  • Member of the Greater Middlesbrough Primary Care Network
  • CQC rated Good overall
  • Experienced and supportive clinical and nonclinical team

We are a mainstream general practice, using a mixture of telephone triage, face to face and e-consultations to meet the needs of our population. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work under pressure.

Skills in minor surgery or specialist interests would be warmly welcomed.

We have no extended hours commitment so there is flexibility for post-holders to work additional roles in out of hours or other services.

You will be a full part of the practice team, taking part in Practice meetings, contributing to practice decision making and supporting staff training and QoF activity.

We have a generous holiday and educational leave allowance, and the practice will cover costs of medical indemnity. Earnings from non-NHS activities go to the GP delivering the activity. We will offer the BMA contract and honour NHS pension contributions.

Job Responsibilities

In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

The role also involves contributing to audits, significant event analysis, in-house education and contributing to decision making in practice meetings.

  • On NHS Performers' List,
  • Have unrestricted GMC registration
