Collingham Church View Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated salaried GP to join our friendly and forward thinking team.
The successful postholder will work autonomously within their professional scope, delivering high quality primary medical care to our registered population, in line with our PMS contract and NHS best practice.
Sessions are 3 per week, with a competitive salary dependent on experience.
Main duties of the job- Undertake a range of general practice consultations, including face to face, telephone and AccuRx Total Triage
- Undertake home visits as clinically required (supported by the paramedic team)
- Deliver safe, effective, and patient centred clinical care
- Manage acute presentations and long term conditions
- Prescribe in line with local and national guidelines (within scope of practice)
- Support patients with health promotion, lifestyle advice and self care
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records
- Work collaboratively as part of the wider multi disciplinary team
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement and service development
- Participate in duty doctor / clinical triage rotas
Collingham Church View Surgery is a progressive, five partner GP practice serving a semi rural population of around 10,000 patients from modern, purpose built premises in Collingham.
Our well established multi disciplinary team includes:
- Clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians (PCN team)
- An in house dispensary pharmacy
- Dedicated paramedic team supporting home visits
- Dedicated Management Team
- Dedicated Administrative Team
We operate using SystmOne and AccuRx Total Triage, with 10 minute appointments to support safe, high quality clinical care. The practice is part of the Wetherby Primary Care Network and actively engages in new models of care.
Job responsibilities Clinical Duties- Undertake a range of general practice consultations, including face to face, telephone and AccuRx Total Triage
- Undertake home visits as clinically required (supported by the paramedic team)

- Prescribe in line with local and national guidelines (within scope of practice)

- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement and service development
- Participate in duty doctor / clinical triage rotas
- Process clinical administration in a timely manner, including:
- Referrals
- Results
- Repeat prescription requests
- Participate in MDT meetings and PCN working
- Support achievement of QOF and local contractual targets
- Adhere to practice policies, clinical governance requirements and NHS guidance
- GMC registered with a GP qualification.
- Included on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrates a positive approach to service development and quality improvement.
- Experience working autonomously in primary care.
- Commitment to CPD and high quality patient care.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Depending on experience, GP Sessional rate.
