We are looking for a Salaried GP to join our friendly and dynamic team.You must be fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the NHSPerformers List. Be committed to delivering patient-focused care with acollaborative approach. Have a keen interest in contributing to practiceinnovation and development. Have excellent communication and organizationalskills We offer flexible working arrangements with a choice of 10-15 minuteappointments with capped patient numbers per session. We are a trainingpractice with the opportunity to mentor and supervise. ST1/2/3 and medstudents and take part in delivering tutorials. Main duties of the job Direct clinical care - Consulting withpatients (face-to-face, telephone and/or online as agreed). Assessing,diagnosing and managing acute illness and long-term conditions. Providinghealth advice, safety-netting and appropriate follow-up. Undertaking homevisits where part of the agreed model. Making referrals to secondary care andcommunity services when clinically indicated.
Indirect clinical care (clinicaladministration) - Reviewing and actioning test results and investigations. Processingclinical correspondence (hospital letters, discharge summaries). Completingreferrals, fit notes and other clinical documentation. Managing repeatprescribing and medication reviews (as per practice systems). Handlingclinical tasks/messages and ensuring appropriate coding and record-keeping.
Clinical governance, quality andsafety - Participating inSignificant Event Analyses (SEA)andlearning from incidents/near misses. Contributing toauditandqualityimprovementactivity (where feasible and relevant). Supporting safesystems (e.g. results handling, prescribing, recalls, safeguardingprocesses). Engaging with infection prevention and control (IPC) processesrelevant to clinical work. Responding to safety alerts (e.g. CAS/MHRA) inline with practice processes.

f. Effective management of long-term conditions

i. Review of medications following the appropriate policies, NICE/localclinical guidelines and local care pathways

Person Specification Qualifications
- Qualified GP
- MRCGP
- Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
- Certificate of Completion of Training -CCT.
- Ability to both work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience of working in a primary care environment.
- Experience of providing home visits.
- General understanding of the primary care contract.
- Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of own clinical practice.
- Minimum of two years as a salaried GP.
- An appreciation of the NHS landscape and relationship between individual organisations, PCNs and the commissioners.
- Full GMC registration.
- Performers List registration noting that confirmation on this list is adequate for DBS confirmation .
- England Conforms to the National Performers List and is able to perform any such service as detailed within Regulation 24 of the National Health Service (Performers Lists) (England) Regulations 2013.
- Evidence of current validation.
- Evidence of last appraisal.
- Eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
