Buckinghamshire Mind is looking for a Safe Haven Weekend Team Lead to supervise and support a small team of Mental Health Crisis Support Workers within our Safe Haven Service: our out of hours support service for those experiencing a mental health crisis.
- Contract Type: Permanent role
- Location: High Wycombe - with occasional travel required to Aylesbury.
- Salary: £29,500 FTE plus enhanced hours payment of 30% on top of normal hourly rate for hours worked between 11pm 12am. This calculates as an actual payment of £10,843.24 including the enhanced hours based on the hours below.
- Hours: 13hrs - Friday and Saturday 6pm 12am, and 2 hrs admin time preferably on a Tuesday morning.

We promote wellbeing and recovery; we prevent mental ill health; we offer talking therapies and we provide support in times of crisis.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a warm and welcoming environment for those facing out of hours mental health crises as a calming alternative to emergency departments.
- Raise service user awareness of alternative mental health services appropriate to personal need and increase independence and self management skills of those accessing the service.
- Offer personalised support focused on individual need, treating service users with respect.
- Proven ability to lead, support, supervise, and motivate staff; manage workload effectively; work collaboratively while taking initiative and maintaining professional boundaries.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emotional crises, high risk situations, de escalation, safety planning, and suicide prevention.
- Skilled in supporting people with mental health difficulties to build independence, develop self management strategies, and make positive change, with a consistently respectful and hopeful attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality services and build positive, constructive relationships with external agencies and partners.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills; commitment to confidentiality, equal opportunities, diversity, and alignment with the aims and values of Buckinghamshire Mind.
