Our client is a highly respected niche law firm with over 20 years of experience advising the agricultural and rural sector. Agriculture is not simply one department among many; it sits at the heart of the firm's business, allowing their team to develop deep expertise and long-standing client relationships across the rural community.
As the firm continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a Solicitor to join their specialist Agriculture Department.
The OpportunityThis is an opportunity to manage a diverse and interesting caseload, working with a broad range of rural clients across:
- Agricultural property matters
- Farms and landed estates
- Rural business transactions
- Agricultural tenancies
- Estate and succession planning matters
- Rural commercial property work
You will become a trusted adviser to clients, providing practical, commercially focused legal advice while developing long-term professional relationships.
The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the department through mentoring junior team members, supporting business development activities, and helping to strengthen the firm's already impressive reputation within the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities Client Management- Manage a varied caseload of agricultural and rural matters.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide exceptional levels of service.
- Develop and strengthen long-standing client relationships.
- Support client retention, referrals, and business development initiatives.
- Deliver accurate, practical, and commercially focused legal advice.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and legal developments.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate time recording and billing practices.
- Progress files efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all file management and confidentiality requirements.
- Support and supervise paralegals and trainees where required.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Assist with the continued growth and development of the Agriculture Department.
We are keen to speak with qualified or newly qualified Solicitors who have a genuine interest in the agricultural and rural sector.
You may already have experience within Agricultural Law, Rural Property, Commercial Property, or Private Client work involving landed estates. Equally, candidates with a strong interest in developing a specialist agricultural practice are encouraged to apply.
