Interpretation & Translation Service, Kings Cross Hospital, Dundee Romanian Language Interpreter Band 5 Fixed Term/Secondment (6 month) position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Romanian spoken Language Interpreter to join our Team within Interpretation & Translation, NHS Tayside.

The Corporate Equalities, Interpretation & Translation Service provide Romanian interpretation throughout Tayside, within Acute Services, Health & Social Care Partnerships across Tayside, Primary Care and Independent Contractors. You will work closely with the Team Lead and other Spoken Language Interpreters to deliver a high quality service to patients, carers and their families in Tayside.

Romanian Spoken Language Interpreters will be supported to develop skills and competencies which will allow them to operate as autonomous practitioners with minimal supervision of their work.

• Must have Romanian spoken language interpreting experience
• Ability to travel throughout NHS Tayside
• It is an essential requirement to hold a diploma in Public Service Interpreting (preferably Health) and/or other similar Interpretation and Translation qualification/skills.

This is a role with focus on providing Romanian language interpretation to patients, carers and their families. Part of this role will include translation of documents into Romanian/English.

You will be required to adhere to NHS Tayside Policies & Procedures.

Hours of work

Applications welcome for a fixed term/secondment 6 month contract (Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 with flexibility). The Interpretation & Translation Service will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

Current NHS Tayside Employees - Written approval must be sought from your line manager prior to applying for this secondment. You will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview.
