Salary: Grade 7 - £27,088 - £29,062 per annum

We're looking for experienced Roadworker/LGV Drivers to be part of the Highways Construction Services team undertaking planned highway, bridge and related construction and reconstruction projects, all based within our beautiful county of Derbyshire.

Responsibilities

Using a range of vehicles and specialised plant and equipment the work includes drainage, road resurfacing, manhole construction, kerbing works, fencing, flag and block laying, structural concreting, and patching.

Using your ability to ensure good relationships with, and the safety of, the public, employees, clients, and contractors is essential, minimising disruption to travel as much as possible.

You'll be part of a mandatory rota to deliver adverse weather and emergency services and winter maintenance (gritting and snow clearing), outside normal working hours, for which you'll receive additional payment.

Qualifications
  • A full driving licence LGV C, G
  • Experience in Highways maintenance and construction services, including winter maintenance and adverse weather activities.
  • The full range of construction skills including drainage, road resurfacing, manhole construction, kerbing works, fencing, flag and block laying, structural concreting, and patching
  • Knowledge of the current highways and bridgeworks specifications, national contract conditions, and statutory regulations
