Road Roller Driver

• Location: Dover
• Contract type: Temporary (Full time)

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate road rollers and other compaction machinery.
• Compact asphalt, soil, stone and other construction materials to the required specification.
• Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance of the roller.
• Identify and report any mechanical faults or safety issues.
• Work closely with groundworkers, machine operators and site supervisors.
• Follow site plans, instructions and compaction requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all site health and safety procedures.
• Keep the machine clean and in good working condition.
• Assist with general site duties when required.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within required timescales.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a road roller or similar construction machinery.
• Relevant roller/operator qualification or certification, such as CPCS or NPORS, where required.
• Good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious attitude.
• Good awareness of surroundings and other site personnel.
• A valid driving licence is desirable where applicable.
• Previous experience in road construction, surfacing or civil engineering is advantageous.
