Road freight forwarder

As a Road Freight Forwarder, you are the central link in the transport chain. You make sure shipments arrive on time, safely and exactly as agreed. From the first planning to final delivery: you stay in control and keep overview at all times.

No day is the same. You start your day by checking running transports and immediately jump into new assignments. You are in continuous contact with carriers, customers and colleagues across borders. Is something not going according to plan? No problem-you anticipate, switch quickly and solve it before it becomes an issue.

Your key responsibilities

• Registering and processing shipments in the transport system
• Preparing, checking and managing transport documentation
• Monitoring delivery times and shipment statuses
• Daily contact with carriers, customers and logistics partners
• Identifying and solving planning challenges proactively
• Aligning priorities per shipment
• Adjusting routes and transport instructions when needed
• Actively contributing ideas to improve processes
• Working closely within an international logistics network

Who are we looking for?

• You are available full-time (40 hours per week)
• You are flexible and comfortable working variable shifts
• You have experience in logistics/transport, or strong motivation to learn
• You communicate confidently in English (Dutch is a plus)
• You are able to obtain a VGB clearance (minimum 8 years residence in the EU)
• You work accurately, think ahead and act fast
• You communicate clearly and solution-oriented
• You are a true team player who also takes initiative
