We are currently recruiting for a Caretaker to join our team at CAFRE, Greenmount. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am - 4pm
  • 12 month contract with possibility of permanent post

The Role
  • Caretaking/Conference - setting up rooms to customer needs; meeting customers out of hours.
  • Accompanying energy deliveries and taking energy readings.
  • Meeting contractors - opening rooms/areas to allow contractor access upon request from Greenmount Campus Reception and/or Facilities Manager.
  • General portering: delivering items, moving furniture as directed by Facilities Services Manager; delivering post bags to various locations.
  • Carrying out Gate Lodge protocols; manning the Gate Lodge during the shift as directed by Facilities Manager - directing traffic and meeting customers.
  • Supporting the Student Services Manager and the Residential Support Team; reporting student health and safety issues and incidents of misbehaviour.
  • Audits of fixtures, fittings and furniture - reporting faults to Facilities Manager.
  • Carrying out water flushing in buildings as directed by Facilities Manager.

  • Self motivated, working independently and on own initiative.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Flexible with a positive, can do attitude.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of the work.

Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day to day basis.
