Retirement Advice Centre of Excellence provide authorised advice on pension transfers for HSBC's franchised regulated sales network advisers (Wealth Managers) and their supportive Area Wealth Analysts /Relationship Managers. It is essential that the advice reports generated by Retirement Advice Centre of Excellence, and presented to the Bank's customers, are technically accurate, compliant, customer focused and in line with FCA principles.
In this role you will need to be able to prioritise work independently, by focusing on the needs of the customer and working alongside the Retirement Advice Consultants. The role is critical in the delivery of pension advice to customers and to meet the wider targets and objectives of the team. You should bring a strong sense of ethics and ability to quickly develop a full understanding of new products and processes in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to personal development is essential to support the department through the understanding of other roles and functions and to keep up with the ever changing world of technical and digital growth. You should be comfortable with communicating verbally and in writing with colleagues with a wide range of seniority and in different departments, as well as external 3rd parties.
Reporting to the Operational Support Manager, you will assist the team of Retirement Advice Consultants in the collation and analysis of the customers current pension policies.

In this role you will:- Contact 3rd party providers to collate customer pension scheme data and maintain the departmental Service Level Agreements.
- Undertake appropriate analysis of customers' existing pensions via the collation of their information and logging this data appropriately. Liaising with both the franchised advisers and third party ceding schemes, as appropriate, to enable cases to be actively progressed.
- Prepare the data gathering of technically accurate information and presenting your analysis to your assigned Consultant.
- Handle day to day enquiries in a professional and competent manner, resolved to the satisfaction of the enquirer within agreed internal SLA.
- Reviewing procedures and training packs to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Updating multiple platforms accurately which will be used to track customer journey and other MI.
- Working closely with the Retirement Advice Consultants and keeping communication open to discuss ongoing cases.
- Previous experience of pension switching and knowledge of analysing pension information and understanding of pension transfers and retirement processes is advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge of customer's needs, the sales process, advice suitability and the regulatory environment is preferred.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills, to manage a pipeline of multiple plans and cases and dairy management is essential.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internal data management/systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated clearly to wide and varied audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work to tight deadlines.
