Summary

We're looking for a Retail Team Member to welcome visitors to the National Trust shop at Hughenden Manor, to answer their questions and help them make the most of their day.

Salary and Contract

Salary: £12.75 per hour
Contract/duration: Fixed Contract ending 28th February 2027
Hours/working pattern: This is a zero hour contract, meaning we can't guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We'll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.
A usual shift starts at 10am, a full day shift ends at 5:30pm on summer hours and 4:30pm on winter hours, with 30 min unpaid break. Part day shifts either cover the morning opening and breaks, or the afternoon including breaks and closing.
For this role, you'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

Responsibilities

As a member of the retail team, you'll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You'll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers.

• Talk to visitors about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust
• Arranging, receiving and unpacking deliveries
• Creating shop displays
• Working with others in the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised
