Retail Supervisor - Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. This is a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, a minimum of 20 hours per week, generally including some weekend work.

Pay & Benefits

Hourly pay rate: £13.61. Minimum 20 hours per week guaranteed, earning at least £272 per week. Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

• Act as an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the shop
• Take full responsibility for running the shop during the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants
• Take responsibility for the control of operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work
• Proficient at building strong working relationships with staff and customers
• Trustworthy and reliable, able to be depended upon by team and customers
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry is an advantage, but not essential
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland)
