Retail Supervisor - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Greenock, Inverclyde. We offer a permanent 39 hour full time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days a week from 7 am.

Full time positions require flexibility, including weekends.

Pay & benefits

Hourly rate: £13.61; guaranteed minimum of 39 hours per week, earning at least £530 per week. Overtime may be available.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the manager as part of the management team and lead the shop to run efficiently and provide great service.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries processed quickly and shop routines are maintained to keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants.
• Control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Required Skills and Experience

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach.
• A people person who finds it easy to get on with everyone and build strong working relationships.
• A trustworthy and reliable team member; customers and colleagues depend on you.
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is an advantage, but we welcome those starting out.
• Ability to complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired.
