Retail Supervisor - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. This is a permanent full time, 39 hour position working a variety of shifts, 5 days a week. Full time positions require flexibility throughout the week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines maintain a safe, clean, tidy environment
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants
• Control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll

Qualifications & Attributes

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work
• People oriented with the ability to build strong working relationships
• Trustworthy and reliable, dependable for the team and customers
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is desirable but not essential; we welcome those keen to start a retail management career
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland)
