Job Description

Retail Store Manager £28,586 - £32,749 per annum + benefits

Reports to: Area Manager

Department: Trading

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Location: Hammersmith shop

Closing date: 28th June :55

Responsibilities
  • Guide, inspire and engage a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention and development of a diverse shop team.
  • Take ownership of the commercial running of the store, including display, merchandising, stock management, shop standards, store layout, sales and income.
  • Lead by example and provide excellent customer and supporter service.
  • Maximise profit through effective cost control and sales.
  • Build relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
  • Organise and run creative fundraising events for the store to achieve fundraising targets.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.
  • Perform manual handling and physical activity as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team of people.
  • Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve those targets.
  • The ability to multi task in a lively environment.
  • Working knowledge of excellent customer service.
  • Commercial awareness and knowledge of high street fashion retail.
  • Adaptability in changing situations, able to work effectively independently.
  • Aware of the price, value and worth of items.
