We're looking for Retail Pricing Delivery Lead to join our Retail Pricing team either working remotely or based in our offices in Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a possibility to extend, although this cannot be confirmed at this stage.

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of initiatives within the retail pricing domain, working across product teams and stakeholders to drive predictability, transparency, and measurable outcomes. You'll ensure that delivery plans are aligned with business priorities, managing scope, schedule, and risk through robust agile practices.

This role plays a key part in defining and embedding delivery metrics, facilitating planning through relative sizing, and enabling continuous improvement by aligning team velocity with delivery expectations.

The Delivery Lead also acts as a critical link between product owners, strategic change functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure dependencies, risks, and issues are proactively managed and communicated for successful outcomes.

Core skills we're looking for to succeed in the role:

  • Insurance industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and how to implement them
  • Ability to solve problems creatively

What's involved:

  • Actively engage with and manage dependencies, product teams, cross-pillar and business-wide
  • Set and manage expectations of a wide and demanding stakeholder set on product delivery including scope, schedule, and return on investment.
  • Calibrate velocity and communicate its impact on schedule to continually improve predictability.
  • Define standard metrics in the teams to support delivery management and influence their implementation
  • Drive relative sizing and calibration to establish an uncalibrated schedule.
  • Ensure that epics are elaborated sufficiently to relative size
  • Manage delivery metrics within the teams so that progress against plan can be stated
  • Work with the Strategic Delivery & Change Manager to agree on metrics and how they should be exposed
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to understand upcoming features and epics in sufficient time for elaboration.
  • Actively manage assumptions, decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful mitigation and communication.

Experience & knowledge

  • Knowledge of FCA requirements
  • Knowledge and experience within the UK Motor Insurance market
  • Retail Pricing experience (Preferred)
  • Agile Delivery experience

Skills

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Thorough understanding of agile frameworks and techniques for managing delivery
  • Ability to operate in situations with considerable uncertainty and manage associated risks
  • Strong ability to create artefacts for visualization of scope and schedule
  • Able to drive a team to create relative-sized backlogs with initial velocity estimates
  • Able to calibrate a team's velocity against initial predictions and manage the impact.
