Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

Hours: 20 hours per week across 4 days.

Pay: £10.95 £12.81 per hour.

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Bodmin, Cornwall. This is a permanent part-time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours worked from 4 days each week, including weekend shifts.

Shift availability: weekday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Pay & benefits: the amount you will earn depends on your age:

• 16-20: £10.95 per hour
• 21+: £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy as there is always something to do, jumping from deliveries to serving on the till, helping customers, completing cleaning and stock routines and more.
• Reliable - an important part of a small team; colleagues and customers depend on doing your best each shift and not letting the team down.
• A bit of flexibility with shifts - rota planned three weeks in advance, commitments outside work considered when planning shifts.
• Employment Verification check if successful and offered the advertised position.
