Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Crewe, Cheshire. This is a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 12 hours over 3 days each week. Shifts include weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Hours and Pay

• Hours: 12 hours across 3 days per week
• Pay: £10.95 per hour for ages ; £12.81 per hour for ages 21+

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offer help to pack and leave a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care, work deliveries and quickly place products into freezers and onto shelves.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

Requirements

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy with a variety of tasks - delivering, serving at the till, helping customers on the shop floor, and completing cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliability - you will be an important part of a small team and must not let the team down.
• Flexibility with shifts; rota's are planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside of work are taken into consideration.
• Will complete an Employment Verification check if successful and offered the position. The check will be sent via email and confirm your previous employment history against records held by HMRC.
