Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Hunters Bridge Road, Galashiels. This permanent part time position requires a minimum of 8 hours over 2 days per week, including weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Hours & Pay

• Hours: 8 hours across 2 days per week
• Pay: £10.95 per hour for age , £12.81 per hour for age 21+

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offer help to pack, and leave a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves.
• Work with the rest of the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy with a variety of tasks from deliveries to till service and stock rotation.
• Reliability - a key part of a small team; dependability on each shift.
• Flexibility with shifts; willing to cover different hours when needed.
• Pass an employment verification check if successful.
