Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire. The role is a permanent part time position with a minimum of 16 hours over 4 days each week, including weekday evenings and full weekends.

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offer help to pack, and leave a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care during deliveries, quickly place products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy - able to jump between deliveries, tills, customer service, cleaning, and stock rotation.
• Reliable and dependable as part of a small team; customers and colleagues count on you.
• Flexible with shifts; able to cover different hours when teammates are off.
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check.

Additional Information

Many people take this part time role while studying or balancing family commitments. If you stay long enough, there are opportunities to progress into shop or area management positions through our training programmes.
