Retail Assistant - Part Time, Early Starts

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Hulme, Greater Manchester. We offer a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours worked over 4 days from 7 each week, including weekends.

Please note that this position will require you to be available for shifts starting early in the morning. This position may not be suitable for you if you are not available for early morning work.

Pay & Benefits

• Hours: 20 hours across 4 days per week.
• Pay: £10.95- £12.81 per hour (Ages 16-20 = £10.95 per hour; Ages 21+ = £12.81 per hour).

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

Qualifications

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy as there is always something to do; jump from deliveries to till, serving customers on the shop floor, completing cleaning and stock rotation routines and more.
• Reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team; colleagues and customers depend on you to do your best on each shift and not let the team down.
• Some flexibility for shifts; will need to cover for other team members, rota's planned three weeks in advance and commitments considered.
• Will complete an Employment Verification check if successful and offered the position.
