We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Stamfordham Road, Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours per week over 4 days, including weekends. Please note that this position requires you to be available for early morning shifts.

Hours, Pay and Benefits

• Hours: 16 per week over 4 days
• Pay: £10.95 - £12.81 per hour, depending on age

The amount you will earn depends on your age:

• Ages : £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items they are looking for
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers
• Work with the rest of your team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy

Requirements

• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check if offered the position
• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work
• Enjoy being busy - you'll move from deliveries to till work to stock rotation and cleaning as needed
• Reliability and dependability; your colleagues and customers rely on you to do your best on each shift
• Some flexibility with shifts, as rota's are planned three weeks in advance and your commitments will be considered
