We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop on Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury. The position is a permanent part-time role working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 4 days each week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits

• Hours: 16 hours across 4 days per week.
• Pay (based on age):
  • years: £10.95 per hour
  • 21+ years: £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and greeting.
• Assist customers in finding items they need.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care, working deliveries, placing products into freezers and shelves promptly.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy; can jump between delivering stock, serving on the till, assisting customers and completing cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliable, dependable as a key part of a small team.
• Flexible with shifts; can cover slightly different hours when teammates are off; rosters planned three weeks in advance with consideration of personal commitments.
• Passed an Employment Verification check (sent via email if hired) confirming previous employment history with HMRC.

Contract Information

Position: PTRA, Hours: 16, Days: 4 per week.
