We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. We offer a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours worked over 5 days each week, including weekends.

Hours, Pay & Benefits

• Hours: 20 hours across 5 days per week
• Pay: £10.95 per hour for ages ; £12.81 per hour for ages 21+

Key Responsibilities

• Make customers feel welcome, greeting them with a warm smile and simple hello.
• Assist customers in locating the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, including packing and courteous departure.
• Handle stock and deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and shelves for customer purchase.
• Collaborate with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy.

Requirements & Skills

• Friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work.
• Enjoy a busy environment, able to jump between deliveries, till work, floor assistance, cleaning, and stock rotation.
• Reliable, as you are an important part of a small team; customers and colleagues depend on you to perform on each shift.
• Flexibility with shifts, covering for teammates when needed; rota is planned three weeks in advance.
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check.
