Retail Assistant - Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The role offers a permanent part time position, working a variety of shifts with a minimum of 12 hours over 3 days each week, including weekends.

The amount you will earn depends on your age:

• Ages : £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

As one of our retail assistants you will:

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items they are looking for
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering assistance with packing and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care during deliveries, placing products into freezers and onto shelves for customers to buy
• Collaborate with your team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work
• Enjoy being busy, capable of juggling deliveries, till work, customer assistance, cleaning, and stock rotation
• Reliability, as you are an important part of a small team that depends on you to perform each shift to the best of your ability
• Flexibility with shifts; you may need to cover slightly different hours when colleagues are on holiday - rota's are planned three weeks in advance and external commitments are considered
• Pass the Employment Verification check if successful and offered the advertised position
