Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well motivated, enthusiastic Respiratory nurse specialist to work with Argyll and Bute's Respiratory Nursing

Do you have an interest in improving Respiratory Care? Are you interested in continuous learning and development? Can you think on your feet and make effective clinical decisions?

This role will involve providing specialist advice, assessment and review of patients with a confirmed respiratory diagnosis.

The service is responsible for delivering specialist care to patients in their own home as well in our community clinics, hospitals across Argyll and Bute. The successful candidate will be expected to assess and treat patients with a wide variety of respiratory conditions.

You will alongside the respiratory ANP, demonstrating evidence based knowledge, analytical skills, and specialist assessment to triage, assess and manage a range of complex presentations, assessing and managing own clinical caseload supporting patients with a range of respiratory conditions. This includes home oxygen assessment and therapy.

An integral role within the Respiratory pathway you will be participating in MDTs, working in collaboration with respiratory, medical teams, nursing teams within secondary care, community care and primary care to prevent admission, support early discharge and care at home, through the provision of seamless care.

You will work as part of a team and as a lone to a specific however, travel and work across Argyll and Bute will be required.

Full training will be provided. secondment opportunity can be considered.
