Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

Ayrshire and Arran are currently seeking a highly motivated, forward thinking respiratory nurse specialist to join the team. The post holder will provide person centred care integrating their specialist services to aid in admission avoidance and early discharge, home oxygen assessment service, initiation of non-invasive ventilation service within community setting and review of these patients, nurse led clinics and home visits to provide expert specialists care to patients with a wide range of respiratory illness including COPD, Asthma patients who may require biologic therapy, Interstitial lung dieses, bronchiectasis and TB tracing being amongst these.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

The post holder will provide education and support for patients and aid the patient in the development of long term care plans. Provide support and education to ward based teams for education and competencies. Candidates should be NMC level 1 RN with relevant post registration experience in respiratory nursing educated to degree level/ masters level with relevant post registration qualification in asthma/copd
