Resource Manager

Location: South West - Hybrid
Salary: £55,000 - £85,000
Employment Type: Permanent
Security Clearance: SC Cleared or eligible

I'm currently working with a growing consultancy delivering complex transformation and technology programmes. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Resource Manager to own and develop their end-to-end resourcing function, ensuring demand, capacity and resource planning are accurately managed across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in resource management, workforce planning or consultancy, who enjoys working with senior stakeholders, solving complex resourcing challenges and driving effective workforce utilisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and continuously improve the end-to-end resourcing process
  • Maintain a Real Time view of demand, capacity, utilisation and resource debt
  • Validate and prioritise resource demand across practices and accounts
  • Develop creative solutions to resource gaps, including redeployment, associates, recruitment and phased allocation
  • Ensure recruitment activity is aligned to validated business demand
  • Lead weekly resourcing meetings and support monthly resourcing boards
  • Identify and escalate demand mismatches, risks and capacity constraints
  • Work closely with PMO to maintain accurate reporting, data and governance
  • Challenge stakeholders constructively and ensure resourcing actions are tracked through to completion
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning or Project Management
  • Consultancy experience is highly desirable, particularly within a digital or technology environment
  • Strong understanding of demand planning, capacity management, utilisation and recruitment pipelines
  • Experience using resource scheduling or workforce planning tools
  • Strong data analysis and visualisation skills, including Excel and Power BI
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and holding them accountable
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience supporting governance and producing senior/board-level reporting
  • SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance
