Job Description

Taylor Hopkinson are proud to work alongside our client who deliver cutting-edge smart residential energy systems that seamlessly integrate PV, BESS, EV chargers and energy management.

We are currently searching for a Residential Renewable Energy Solutions Experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to assist the sales teams with technical support throughout each project.

Responsibilities

  • Identify common customer concerns (regarding cost, performance guarantees, aftersales etc) and build response strategies.
  • Develop sales toolkits (including scripts, comparison sheets and demo videos) tailored to different regions and customer profiles.
  • Work closely with product teams to refine system designs based on the client feedback.
  • To assist with the training of the installer sales teams and to update talk tracks based on field insights.
  • Diagnose and report on installer pain points (including site survey errors, delayed quotes etc) and propose solutions to accelerate deals.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (Energy, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • Strong experience in residential solar PV system technical/pre-sales/installation management with full-process familiarity (design, component selection, installation, grid connection, maintenance).
  • Experience with top-tier solar installers or involvement in SOP development preferred.
  • Experience dealing with and a deep understanding of homeowner pain points, for example system efficiency, ROI period, roof compatibility, policy incentives.
  • Proficient in core residential PV components (inverters, mounting systems, storage) and selection criteria.
  • Knowledge of local regulations (grid connection, subsidies) and safety standards (electrical/structural).
  • Ability to translate technical jargon into customer-friendly language and create standardised materials (FAQs, scripts, case studies).
  • Experience developing training content and coaching sales teams.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Able to travel to London when required.
