Residential Conveyancer (Locum)

Contract Type: Temporary/Locum

Salary: £40 to £50ph

• Locum requirement in residential conveyancing team of well regarded high street firm.
• Flexible start from circa April/May/June 2026, for initial 3 months, possibly longer.
• Fully remote working possible.
• Usual high street Residential Property Law work, either handling caseload on standalone basis, or supporting existing members of the team

Our client, a well regarded high street law firm in Cornwall, is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to assist with some locum cover in the coming months and over the busy summer period.

Position Overview

The Residential Conveyancer will play a crucial role in assisting the firm through a busy period. The role can be carried out fully remotely if necessary, or hybrid or office working also available. Full or part time hours (min 3, max 5). The conveyancing team has a very friendly, helpful, organised, communicative and happy culture so will require a locum who is likeminded.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of residential property law work.
• Communicate effectively with clients, agents, and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of legal documentation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years' PQE as a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive (or otherwise qualified by experience) in Residential Property Law.
• Proficiency in using case management software.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and client service abilities.
• Great team player, friendly, organised and positive character!
