Department: Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS)

Salary: £35,681 £37,338 per annum (Grade 6). Full time, fixed term position for 2 years.

About the Role

The postholder will provide research support for the Health Data Sciences Group led by Prof. Prieto Alhambra and coordinate various research projects. They will be an essential part of the team, contributing to project development and executing tasks. The role involves independent management of day to day administrative processes, resolving issues, adapting to changing priorities, producing correspondence, documents and reports to tight deadlines, and preparing and presenting information concisely. They will act as a point of referral for organising tasks, ensuring senior team members are up to date with information and developments.

About You

You must hold a degree or have equivalent experience. Key skills and experience:

  • Experience managing projects, including the use of project management tools
  • Experience conducting research support tasks efficiently, such as publication support or manuscript submission
  • Experience working in an academic environment, with an understanding of university processes
  • Experience working on health related projects (desirable)

Commitment to improving health in the UK and abroad, strong project management skills, eye for detail, and initiative are essential.
