Research Manager
London | £500-£550 per day PAYE | 10-Month Contract | 5 Days Onsite
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Research Manager to join a leading global organisation's Reputation Marketing & Insights team. This role will play a critical part in shaping go-to-market messaging strategies through data-driven audience insights and research that influence high-profile communications, marketing, and policy initiatives
The Opportunity
As Research Manager, you will lead the development of research programmes that help understand audience perceptions, behaviours, needs, and attitudes across Europe. Your insights will directly influence strategic communications campaigns and reputation-building initiatives.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong background in market research, public affairs, reputation research, political research, communications, or strategic marketing who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop audience research programmes and strategic research roadmaps across European markets.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research focused on reputation, public issues, and audience perceptions.
- Design and deliver message testing and creative evaluation studies to support communications and marketing campaigns.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality reports and presentations that influence business and communications strategies.
- Share insights and best practices across wider marketing, communications, and policy teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to maximise the value of research and audience intelligence.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative marketing research.
- Strong expertise in messaging research across UK and European markets, particularly the UK, France, and Germany.
- Background in brand reputation, corporate reputation, public affairs, policy research, public polling, or related disciplines.
- Ability to transform research findings into strategic recommendations and communication frameworks.
- Excellent written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience presenting findings to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Experience
- Client-side and agency/vendor-side research experience.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong network of research suppliers and understanding of traditional and innovative research methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in changing and ambiguous environments.
- Passion for learning, innovation, and delivering measurable impact
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded researcher who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys uncovering meaningful insights and translating them into compelling narratives that drive business outcomes.

Contract Details
- Contract Length: 10 months
- Location: London (LHR16)
- Working Pattern: 40 hours per week
- Onsite Requirement: 5 days per week
- Rate: £500-£550 per day PAYE
- Start Date: ASAP
- Interviews: 2-3 stage process
