Research Fellow in Climate Change and Health
Posted 4 hours 44 minutes ago by University of Bristol
The successful applicant will join the School of Geographical Sciences, but will work across the University and with cross-disciplinary research institutes such as the Cabot Institute for the Environment, the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute for Health, and Jean Golding Institute for Data Science. We are open to applicants in all areas of climate change and health, but evidence of strong connections and understanding of both the 'climate change' and 'health' sectors is important. We would welcome applications from candidates with interests in the primary application of data science and AI to research questions in climate change and health.
Research interests might include: human health for different climate and adaption scenarios; fine-scale weather/climate hazard modelling relevant for health; different health, data, and AI models that complement and add to our existing ones, for instance related to lifetime exposures or impacts on chronic health outcomes; linked data and digital health; lived experience; different types of methods of assessment for climate and health impacts.

- Make a significant contribution to the School's research reputation and income.

- You have extensive academic experience, which includes contributions in research, related leadership and administration.
- Role holders will be expected to be leading collaborative research bids, research teams or scholastic projects (e.g. editing journals or academic books).
- You will have an established reputation within your academic discipline and will be producing research of national, if not international, quality.
