About theProject

Oxfam Ireland is seeking an experienced ResearchConsultant to lead a qualitative research project exploring the realities ofinequality among young people aged 18 to 35 in Ireland. This work forms part ofa wider European study spanning six countries and will contribute tounderstanding how young people experience inequality, view their futureprospects, and engage with democratic institutions.The successful consultant will recruit participants,facilitate five in-person focus groups, analyse the findings, and produce aconcise report capturing the key themes, narratives and lived experiencesemerging from the discussions.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with strong qualitativeresearch skills, excellent facilitation and report-writing experience, and agenuine interest in issues such as inequality, social justice, cost of living,housing, climate change and civic participation.Experience applying feminist principles withinresearch is particularly valued.

Please note that as this research requires conducting physical in-person focus groups in Ireland, we will only accept applications from researchers who are based in Ireland.

Duration

This is a short-term consultancy expected to requireapproximately 15 days' work between September and November, with a total budgetof up to €7,000.
