Requirements Engineer - ALTEN Belgium

The Position

As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Requirements Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Brussels.

• Collaborate with stakeholders (POs, UX/UI, developers ) to gather and clarify requirements
• Document high-quality system/software requirements for in-vehicle applications
• Propose solutions to potential design concerns and build stakeholder consensus
• Review and iterate on requirements through team feedback
• Lead sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
• Manage the product backlog and track sprint progress
• Communicate status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders and management
• Support the team in overcoming blockers and workload peaks
• Assist in manual and automated software testing when needed
• Contribute to the improvement of tools and processes supporting development

Your Profile

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in software or systems engineering
• Strong background in Embedded Systems or similar technical domains
• Skilled in translating stakeholder input into clear, structured requirements
• Familiar with system architecture
• Experience with tools like Codebeamer, Jama, or similar
• Proven Scrum Master experience: sprint planning, backlog management, stakeholder alignment
• Comfortable using Jira or equivalent tools
• Experience with manual and automated testing
• Strong communicator and team player
• Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented
• Fluent in English
