Role Title: Repair Engineer Apprentice

Location: Telford

Mission:

The primary role of the Repair Engineering Apprentice is to deliver technical and strategic services within the Industry Services. The role requires cross-over experience in Schneider Electric products. Front-end engineering and collaboration with internal and external partners will be an essential deliverable within this role, engaging the client's enterprise to develop the Ecostruxure message to deliver profitable growth. The role will include preparing quotations and carrying repairs to Schneider Electric industry products, supporting other Business Units with sub-contracting repairs out of Telford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Execution and Delivery of Front End Automation Engineering Services, including VSD / OEM products, carrying out diagnostics and repair, retrofitting of Legacy SE & 3rd-Party Products to a modern SE solution to support Ecostrxture.
  • Support Contract Technical-related issues: Provide front-line technical support for contract team and end users, including software testing, software installs/uninstalls, troubleshooting IT-related issues, managing software migrations, and advising customers on hardware/software configurations and implementation
  • Support product Obsolescence discussions and assist with Modernisation planning: Responsible for customer audits, transferring them into technical requirements and driving Life cycle / obsolesce and modernization to implementation. Responsible for planning of system improvements, corrections & future projects.
  • Support and Deliver the IA3 Service (data collection and process), carry out Site audits, Utilise Schneider Electric digital tools to identify and mitigate risks associated with supporting legacy equipment.
  • Perform in a professional manner to help build team and customer confidence and thereby contributing to the promotion of Services Business growth.
  • Keep safe and maintain all company property issued, ensure it is routinely PAT or calibration tested and bring to the company's attention any items that are not of a serviceable nature in a timely manner.

  • Understanding on basic Microsoft applications I.e. Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.

  • Passionate, highly curious & inclusive

Desirable

  • Work experience or volunteering experience whilst studying.

Education

Entry to the programme of study is through demonstration of a minimum of GCSE grades in Maths, English and additional STEM subject at grades C/4, or above.
