Job Description

Role Overview

We're looking for a driven and organised Renewals Manager to lead client retention efforts within our R&D Tax Credits business. You'll be responsible for engaging with existing and returning clients to secure renewals for upcoming claims. You'll manage a high-volume portfolio, build strong client relationships, and convert renewal opportunities into signed engagements.

This is a client-facing, revenue-generating role requiring confidence in outbound calling, skilled pipeline management, and familiarity with CRM systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Renewal Engagement: Own and manage the renewal cycle for a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring timely and proactive outreach ahead of their next claim.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all renewal opportunities in the CRM. Forecast renewal activity and track performance against targets.

  • Sales Activity: Conduct high-volume outbound calling and emailing to secure client re-engagement. Confidently handle objections and clearly communicate the value of our service.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Client Success, Sales, and Delivery teams to ensure a seamless handover and strong renewal experience.

  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on renewal pipeline, activity metrics, and performance to internal stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a renewals, sales, account management, or customer success role-ideally in a B2B or financial services setting.

  • Comfortable managing a large volume of clients and juggling multiple priorities.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills-confident on the phone and effective in client-facing interactions.

  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage pipelines and drive activity.

  • Target-driven with a proactive mindset and a track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs.

  • Knowledge of R&D tax credits (desirable, but not essential-training will be provided).
