WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As a Remediation and Environmental Protection Specialist, you are part of the Environmental and EHS Reporting system expert community in BASF, which supports, advises and coordinate a wide variety of topics related to remediation, environmental protection and data management/validation.

  • You lead the way in organizing dynamic training courses and sessions on environmental protection topics, the EHS reporting database and reporting for EMEA locations, while coordinating internal reviews and site visits by external auditors.
  • Also, you provide guidance on environmental protection issues, including soil and groundwater protection, contaminated sites, water protection and waste management.
  • By actively supporting and coordinating various EHS reporting campaigns, you ensure accurate data collection and validation for German sites, engaging in monthly reporting community calls.
  • You support the preparation for Responsible Care (RC) audits and help sites to implement annual, semi-annual and plant campaigns, as well as the EU Taxonomy campaign for EMEA.
  • Lastly, you become the go-to contact for incident management and data collection in Germany, recording working hours and employee numbers.
WHAT YOU OFFER
  • degree in Environmental Sciences or a comparable qualification, including several years of professional experience in the industry, chemical industry desirable
  • several years of experience in the field of soil, groundwater protection, contaminated sites, waste management and water protection, as well as knowledge in environmental legislation and ISO 14001
  • extensive proficiency with reporting systems (REHSA, GID) and in the preparation, follow-up and implementation of RC audits
  • strong analytical and report writing skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage complex concepts while ensuring alignment with quality standards and deadlines
  • a positive mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and German, capable of working independently and collaboratively in diverse teams
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Gross annual salary (full-time): 48.000 - 52.000 €, depending on qualification and work experience, 58.000 - 62.000 € possible with correspondingly higher qualifications
  • In addition, you can expect a bonus dependent on the company's success as well as individual performance
