Job Description

We are seeking a patient-centered Relief Pharmacist to join our Boots pharmacy teams across the Calne, Chippenham, Corsham, Marlborough, and Pewsey area!

As a Relief Pharmacist for Boots, you will:

  1. Gain confidence quickly.
  2. Experience different stores and challenges.
  3. Receive flexible work patterns.
  4. Learn best practices to share with other stores.
  5. Receive paid transportation at 45 pence per mile.

You would typically be placed across 2-3 stores, with our planning team providing your rota at least 12 weeks in advance.

This role offers the opportunity to work within busy, service-led stores with support from Pharmacy Technicians, Dispensers, Pharmacy Advisors, and retail management teams.

Newly Qualified pharmacists are encouraged to apply. Although advertised as full-time, part-time hours will be considered.

About the role

As a Relief Pharmacist, you'll provide excellent customer and patient care, offering expert advice and reassurance across multiple stores. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Delivering the pharmacy strategy through expert care and advice.
  • Making legal and ethical decisions.
  • Building store team capabilities.
  • Conducting audits and risk assessments to ensure safety.
  • Delivering professional pharmacy services.
What you'll need

You should have a professional, caring character and a desire to improve patient care. Requirements include:

  • Registration with GPhC, PSNI, or PSI.
  • High professional standards and respect from stakeholders.
  • A passion for community pharmacy.
  • Team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and services.
  • Excellent communication skills.
