Release/Change Manager Contract 6-18 Months. My client a leading global name is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Release/Change Manager to join them on a contract basis.

The Release Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end release process, ensuring smooth coordination, deployment, and resolution of any issues related to lower lane and production releases. This position requires extensive experience in release management, branching strategies, and deployment processes. The Release Manager will guide and advise the teams while ensuring alignment with best practices and quality standards.

You will be required to take full ownership of the Release Management activities, ensuring efficient collaboration and the timely delivery of releases.Provide expert advice on addressing urgent production issues, assisting teams in determining the best approach for releases.Provide guidance to teams and stakeholders on code base status and environment configurations. Advise development and DevOps teams on environment usage and deployments. Proficient in release branching strategies and version control using Jenkins, ensuring effective management of code versions across multiple environments. Well-versed in deployment logic, including the creation of release branches and manifests via GIT.
Provide guidance to development teams on managing script dependencies within manifests, ensuring optimal deployment execution. Perform root cause analysis for deployment issues to ensure timely resolution and system stability.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong background in Release management/Change management. You will be Agile focused, ideally have worked with systems such as Axiom. Candidates will be able to Coordinate and manage backup requests from QA teams as needed. You will also have experience with Jira.
