Job Description
Regulatory Standards & Housing Improvement Lead

Contract: 6 months Hours: 37 per week Rate: £400 per day

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Standards & Housing Improvement Lead to support the delivery of the Housing Improvement Programme for a Guildford client.

The role will lead the coordination, embedding and assurance of the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) Consumer Standards, ensuring robust self-assessment, evidence, reporting and delivery of improvement actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate RSH Consumer Standards and Housing Ombudsman self-assessments.
  • Manage the Regulatory Standards Action Plan and track delivery of improvement actions.
  • Maintain a robust compliance and assurance evidence base.
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards and reporting for senior stakeholders and governance boards.
  • Horizon scan RSH and HOS findings and identify opportunities for good practice and continuous improvement.
  • Develop regulatory assessment, assurance and gap-analysis frameworks, guidance and training.
  • Support housing policy and strategy development across Guildford and Waverley.
  • Work collaboratively with housing services, residents, senior stakeholders and Waverley Borough Council.
About You

You will have strong experience in social housing regulation, compliance, assurance, policy or service improvement, ideally within a local authority or housing environment.

You will have excellent project management, analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strong understanding of the RSH Consumer Standards and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical service improvements.
