Our Commodities and Global Markets business combines specialist expertise, risk and capital solutions to help our clients realise opportunities in global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, technology, media and telecommunication. The Regulatory Engagement & Governance team forms part of the COO Division and plays a critical role in managing and uplifting our regulatory engagements, across our global footprint.

What role will you play?

We are seeking a pro active, forward thinking Regulatory Engagement Lead to join our Regulatory Engagement & Governance team. In this leadership position you will take full ownership for delivering the business' regulatory engagement strategy across the UK, Europe and Americas. You'll be accountable for the end to end performance of regulatory engagements, overseeing all 1st line aspects of the process, from coordination with internal stakeholders to delivery of high quality, timely responses to the regulators. A key focus will be to identify and deliver strategic uplift to enhance the effectiveness, consistency and efficiency of the regulatory engagement framework.

In this role you will be a trusted advisor and leader to the Global Head of Regulatory Engagement & Governance, driving the team's strategic vision. The role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, in a complex and fast paced environment.

Key to this role is fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the commodities and global markets business as well as partnering with 2nd line Risk Management Group and other operating groups globally.

What you offer
  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory engagement, governance, business management / COO, legal/compliance within the financial services or consulting, or a regulated industry.
  • A strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks and the ability to anticipate and respond to regulatory changes.
  • Exceptional written communication to deliver complex regulatory responses with precision and timeliness.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with a focus on proactive planning and execution.
  • A demonstrated risk mindset and excellent stakeholder management skills to influence outcomes and align priorities.
  • Front office or Line 1 risk experience is highly regarded.
