Regulatory Assurance Advisory Specialist (Contract)

We are looking for an experienced Regulatory Assurance Advisory Specialist to join our department, working in a 12-14 maternity contract.
The role in a nutshell: Providing expert regulatory guidance and support to the business, ensuring Toyota Financial Services UK has effective policies and procedures, training and systems in place to meet its regulatory obligations in delivering good customer outcomes. Foresight into industry changes as well as a deep understanding of the current regulations will be key.
A bit about 'Assurance': We are a business fundamental team at the heart of TFSUK who proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks while ensuring TFS adheres to all regulatory standards. We champion a business-wide Conduct Risk management agenda, to promote a healthy conduct culture and to deliver good customer outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- The main purpose of the role is to act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to the business on all aspects of regulation in this sector.
- Horizon scanning will allow you to proactively monitor regulatory changes and emerging trends in the car financing sector, analysing their impact on business operations and providing clear and concise summaries to relevant stakeholders.
- You will develop strong relationships with business units, understanding their regulatory needs and providing proactive and timely advice on compliance matters. This could be as a project support or in business-as-usual activity.
- You will support the business in implementing new regulations and guidance, ensuring that policies and procedures are up-to-date and reflect current requirements, providing approval for amendments to those policies and procedures.
- You will assist in preparing and submitting accurate and timely regulatory reports on behalf of the business to the FCA and liaise with them as needed.
- Reporting across the wider organisation and other industry bodies will also form part of your regular working pattern.
- You will also contribute to the development and delivery of regulatory training to staff at all levels.

Key Experience & Skills:
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations and guidance relevant to motor finance, including upcoming/emerging changes and how to be informed.
- Experience in providing regulatory advice and support to business units.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Regulatory Compliance background.
- Experience in developing and delivering training.
