The Role

Do you want to be part of a special service that touches people at the most important times in their lives? This post may be just what you are looking for.

We have a rare opportunity to work as a Registration Officer - Ceremonies. This role conducts and registers weddings, civil partnerships and other ceremonies, which occur largely at weekends but increasingly on weekdays. Ceremonies can take place every day of the year.

The service demands a flexible approach, as all posts are peripatetic. You will be called as and when we need you, and must be willing to travel and work anywhere in the County. Being able to offer consistent availability, particularly between March and October, is essential.

Full training in all technical aspects will be provided. Key skills include empathy, confidence and presence to officiate ceremonies; meticulous attention to detail; excellent IT skills; the ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines; and the capacity to navigate the county easily.

Informal enquiries: Andrea Hawthorn 12 or Debbie Clifford Smith
