Orchard Vets is a well-established veterinary practice located in the heart of Romsey, with a strong reputation for providing excellent care and a genuine passion for the animals we serve. With over 35 years of experience, we have built a supportive and caring environment for our team and clients alike. We are now seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our vibrant and dedicated team on a 35-hour per week contract.
About the roleAs an RVN at Orchard Vets, you will be an integral part of our team, providing high-quality care and support to our patients while working in a welcoming and collaborative environment. The role will involve a mix of consultations, surgical nursing, anaesthesia, laboratory work, and client education. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our team of veterinary surgeons, supporting a diverse and varied caseload. We value clinical freedom, and you'll be encouraged to develop your skills and interests in the areas that matter most to you.

Our varied and interesting caseload provides exposure to a wide range of procedures and cases, supported by access to advanced in-house equipment such as dental radiography, laparoscopy, endoscopy, K-Laser, Vetscan Imagyst, and cryotherapy.
With no out-of-hours work, as VetsNow covers this, we ensure an excellent work-life balance. Flexible rota patterns are available within our opening hours (8:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings on a 1 in 5 rotation).
CPD is actively supported, with opportunities for career advancement, including mentoring roles. Additionally, our well-resourced practice features a dedicated practice manager and a skilled team, comprising 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 1 ACA, and 5 receptionists/administrators.
