Regional EHS Manager

We are recruiting for a Regional EHS Manager to join a Tier 1 M&E contractor, this role will be based in Galway. In this role you will lead Environmental, Health and Safety operations across multiple large-scale projects and business units across Connacht.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor EHS teams to ensure consistent implementation of EHS standards.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Statements, risk assessments, and regulatory frameworks.
• As Regional EHS Manager you will act as escalation point for high-risk safety issues and provide expert guidance.
• Oversee EHS audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Manage incident reporting and investigations, ensuring root causes and corrective actions.
• Drive proactive risk management and hazard identification across projects.
• Ensure contractor safety compliance and competency approvals.

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma) desirable.
• Minimum 5+ years' EHS management experience in construction, mechanical, or electrical sectors.
• This Regional EHS Manager will need strong knowledge of Irish, UK, and EU EHS regulations and standards.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams across multiple sites.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
