Independent Retailers - Midlands remit

Predominately remote / field based

Occasional travel to NW Head Office

I am currently working with a hugely successful supplier of electrical products who are now looking for an Account Manager with experience in the Independent channel (Electrical, Garden Centre, Department Stores) to join their Sales team on a full time, permanent basis. ?

They are looking for someone to cover the Midlands Region therefore you will be ideally based on patch, however all locations will be considered. As the head office is based in the North West you will work from home / on the road visiting clients, with occasional visits to our head office.

As Account Manager your role will include:

  • Ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the successful management of designated independent channel
  • Budget and P&L responsibility for managed account/s
  • Develop very strong relationships with independent contacts across electrical retail, department stores, kitchen studios and garden centres. Employing highly effective and efficient communication
  • Identify and maximise all viable sales opportunities
  • Effectively plan and manage retailers' range and promotional calendars
  • Provide detailed sales vs. budget reports and analysis

Skills and experience required:

  • Independent channel experience (Electrical, Garden Centre, Kitchen studios, Department Stores)
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to lead meetings
  • Customer focused and understands importance of service delivery excellence.
  • Committed to continuous improvement of internal processes
  • Highly self-motivated, with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the companies activities
  • Analytical ability, working to the highest level of accuracy
  • Ability to work to deadlines (and ensure others do so)
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent team player with a positive attitude to driving team goals
