Help us make a difference as a Regional Account Manager, managing a high-profile contract with the Metropolitan Police. You will be responsible for maintaining the business relationship between a Biffa Region and the client, covering commercial results, growth and development, contract negotiations, meeting KPIs and SLAs, compliance, customer satisfaction and retention, developing strategic account plans, providing innovative solutions, and ensuring high-quality service.
The successful applicant must already need to be NPPV2 cleared.
Please note: this role is a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave for 12 months.
Your core responsibilities- Serve as the primary interface between the company and the client, ensuring the implementation of strategic account plans, service success, contract compliance, retention, and pricing negotiations.
- Attend customer reviews and present detailed management information and advice on waste management programs.
- Build customer confidence by creating solid and stable multi-level relationships.
- Act as the point of escalation for the client to support the resolution of issues.
- Ensure customer debt is within contractual limits by addressing invoice queries promptly.
- Negotiate, influence, and communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally to deliver long-term benefits.
- The Regional Account Manager is responsible for driving growth.
- The role operates with a high level of autonomy, aligned with the long-term Regional business plan.
- Must be commercially focused, capable of analyzing and forecasting the success of additional business proposals, and understanding financial principles related to costs, profits, markets, and added value.
- This role involves performance management of the contract based on KPIs and metrics.
- The ability to build key internal relationships at all levels, including Area Directors and the Senior Leadership Team, as well as across regions and departments such as fleet, compliance, finance, and HR, is essential.
- Must also be able to develop key relationships with external organizations at all levels.
