HVAC & Refrigeration Technician - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Salary: €70,000 - 80,000 - Competitive Shift Allowance Bonus + Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to join a high-performing onsite technical services team at a major regulated manufacturing (pharma) facility in Dublin 15. This role will focus on the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and optimisation of critical HVAC and refrigeration systems operating within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring critical equipment reliability, environmental control and uninterrupted site operations across a 24/7 manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, repair and technical support across a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including AHUs, chillers, heat pumps, ventilation systems, dehumidification units and industrial refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and control related faults.
• Carry out component replacements, system adjustments and corrective maintenance activities.
• Support commissioning and performance testing of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Recommend upgrade and refurbishment solutions to improve reliability and energy efficiency.
• Ensure all systems operate in line with contract requirements, engineering standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain high equipment uptime across critical manufacturing environments.
• Work closely with site engineering and facilities teams to support operational continuity.

Requirements

• Relevant Refrigeration Qualification (F Gas Category 1 or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience working within HVAC, refrigeration or mechanical building services environments.
• Strong technical understanding of air handling, ventilation systems, heat transfer, dehumidification and HVAC controls.
• Proven fault finding and troubleshooting capability across mechanical and control systems.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment for temperature, pressure, airflow, moisture and system performance.
• Experience working on industrial refrigeration equipment including fridges & freezers, blast freezers, stability chambers and incubators.

Highly Desirable

• Experience within pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience working in ATEX environments.
• Previous exposure to ammonia refrigeration systems.
